Bristol Airport is the eighth busiest airport in the UK, catering for nearly nine million passengers in 2019. During that year, demolition work began on its old terminal building, which was originally built in the 1950s. Airport owners OTPP had the ambition to create a fully modern facility, designed to help the airport achieve its aim of achieving net-zero operations by 2030.

DMC played an integral role in this major project. In particular, we installed over 5,000m2 of ceramic, porcelain and terrazzo tiling to terminal extensions, existing terminals, toilets and walkways. These works also incorporated screeding, matwells, access covers, gatelines, structural joints and soft flooring.
