The new Elizabeth Line, commonly known as Crossrail, is a major rail construction project that will slash journey times across central London, as well as providing fast links with Heathrow and Reading in the west, plus Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east.

An integral part of the project is the upgrade of stations along the route. DMC has worked with a range of contractors to design and install floor finishes at 5 of the 7 major Crossrail stations: Farringdon, Paddington, Bond Street, Woolwich and Whitechapel.

Works we have undertaken since 2013 include floor build-ups, access covers and pre-cast stair units. We have also installed screed, granazzo floor tiling, pre-cast skirting, Yorkstone slabs, ceramic wall tiling, matwells, plus stairs to platforms, concourses, passageways and ticket halls. In addition, we have installed pre-cast stair treads and AATI nosings.

The quality and extent of DMCs work firmly maintains our reputation as a key contractor for major rail construction projects.
